I'm thrilled this is taking off!

I imagine the dates duniazade mentions, late September/early October, won't conflict too much with other fests, especially if participants are given several months in advance to get started. By late September there will be holiday fest sign-ups and people working on submissions, but I don't think the overlap will scare people away. At least, I hope not.

You know, I actually posted a response to this on my cell phone, but it decided to be a bastard (and not of the Snape variety) and NOT post it.

Anyway. . .

I am thrilled to see all the positive feedback this is getting. It looks like the idea is being received extremely well.

The overlapping with other fest sign-ups could prove problematic. I've seen writers actively participate in more than one fest and craft more than one novel length story simultaneously (admirable, that). Maybe that will happen here. Or maybe people will feel overwhelmed (that's never a good thing). Or maybe this fest will interfere with another fest they want to participate in.

However, based on all the responses you are receiving, people are ready and willing.

There is definitely a lot of things to think about.

I was only occasionally on lj in the last two months and I missed the first discussion post about this fest (and that certain fic you wrote for the wishlist event which I shall read asap ♥). I'm quite thrilled by the idea and I'd like to partecipate, not only as a reader/commenter, but also as an artist. For the dates, early-to-mid-August or late September/early October, like duniazade suggested, would be perfect for me.
