What´s up with Jack?
I´ve been thinking about how lately everybody is doubting Jack, and wondering what is going on with him, if his been brainwashed or working with the Others an such.
I get that he is acting a little strange, I see it myself. It´s in his nature to trust people an see the best in them, and that is why he´s trusting in Juliet so much, or is he?
My chips are on that something happened while he was a “guest” in Othersville.
The Jack we know would never trust the Others, not after everything they´ve done to all of the Losties.
They are showing us now that Jack apparently trusts Juliet. He knows that she is not originally one of them, she´s a prisoner just like he was in a way. So maybe that is where his trusts in her comes from. He said it himself. He sees that all she wants is to get off the island, and it´s true, he just doesn´t know what she is capable of doing to achieve that.
I´m also convinced that something MORE happened while he was with the Others. From what we saw during his stay over there, we know he has some friendly relationship with both Juliet and Tom. Not only did Jack play football with him, but Tom also warned Jack about the bugs in the game room when he went in too see Kate.
And the only other person we saw him interact with was Ben, and from what it looked like, they didn´t have the same kind of relationship that Jack had with Juliet or Tom, the contrary most likely.
Something else that caught my attention is what Jack told Kate about the people the Other had taken. He said they were safe, and that´s it. I know he couldn´t talk much at the moment and maybe tell Kate everything because the others were listening to the whole conversation. But this makes me wonder;what is it that Jack knows that has him so calm about the whereabouts of the other survivors of the plain? We all guess that said people were all brainwashed and that is why they were all so content in staying with the Others. But what about Jack? I know the whole brainwashing idea was pretty much thrown out the window because it sounded very...dum. But something is up here.
I still believe he doesn´t trust Juliet completely. As a lot of people said he never told her Sun was pregnant, and when he went to Sun and asked her about her pregnancy he didn´t bring Juliet along or asked her to be any part of it. I think he trust her in some level but he is still keeping an eye on her and not letting her in on everything because even if he knows that she wants to get the hell out of that island she still was a part of what happened to Claire, Sawyer , Kate and himself. She killed someone who was in some point a friend of hers, she lied and manipulated him and Kate and she actually ordered another person to kill Kate and Sawyer if necessary. At least this is what the Jack we all know and love would think. :/
It also bothers me a lot that everybody in the beach is kind of mistrusting of him. I undesrtand that the fact that he brought an Other with him has them all on edge, but this is Jack. They should know he would never do anything to put them in danger.
I hope this all gets cleared out by the end of the season and we see again the Jack we all know. If there is one character in this show that I trust blindly, it is Jack because he´s earned it.
