so I tried 100% soylent (3 bottles/day) this week.
I lasted 2 days.
this morning's bottle was pretty unpalatable.
I've been adding some LorAnn "Flavor Fountain" flavors (1 teaspoon/bottle). I've tried lime and orange so far, and have other fruit flavors to experiment with. They help some.
I have a good backlog of package lunches, because I went to the grocery anyway this week. Today is a spicy, salty dal with vegetables: pretty tasty.
conclusions: an occasional 100% soylent day isn't bad, but not something I'll be doing for multiple days in a row. the convenience is really nice, and selecting for foods I really want to eat (rather than just making up calories) is a major benefit. There is a monetary savings compared to my pre-soylent diet, which is also nice.
notes: digesting soylent feels like hunger. ~1hr after consumption, I feel "hungry", but it goes away in 1/2hr or so.
