so, when i signed up for this summer program there was a place where you write an essay to apply for a fellowship. i didn't do that because, well, i'm really lazy. i didn't know that getting one of those fellowships is basically a given, it's not my fault. anyway, i got an email today saying that i got $2500 for the summer. without applying. it's not the entire cost, but, god, it's nice.
my dad keeps telling me that the world doesn't work like this, in the real world people have to work for money. but clearly, that's not true. my whole life people have been lying to me. money does actually grow on trees. and then it falls on me. and i love it.
i'm taking it as payment for having to spend the freaking summer in southern indiana.
