Like sand through the hourglass
Here is your update folks.
1. I'm finally planning to move to smaller digs in a bigger town. The Pel Place was lovely but I'd rather pay for music lessons than rent.
2. I have failed to practice any drumming for 2 months now and am very disappointed in myself, naughty naughty self.
3. My guitar playing is really coming along. I can now bar that elusive F Major but I can't get to it quickly. I've learned how to sing and play. I still use the word "sing" very loosely. Voice lessons are on my list now that I will have cheaper digs.
4. My kids program is still alive but still far from flush. I've been working on changing the language of the program. I've been describing it as "multicultural" but that word is rather washed out because it has been hijacked by nonbelievers for monetary purposes or people who like the idea but have no idea what they are doing.
5. I've gotten squishy in my old years and it's time to seriously take care of that. I've got a ridiculous cardio work out happening. Somehow ridiculous is inspirational.
6. I have a nephew now. Little Logan shall hence forth be known as Wolverine.
7. A good portion of my apartment was covered in raw sewage when I returned from visiting Wolverine. It is currently being fixed and I'm taking the opportunity to start packing. All of my stuff is out of the cabinets and lying around anyway.
8. I like packing. This time EVERYTHING will be organized and finished early. hmmmm, right.
9. My dreads are longer.
10. I'm thinking about having a house-colding get together.
11. I watched both seasons of True Blood in a week. I want to slap both of the Stackhouses.
12. I should visit friends I can drive to. As for you folks that require flight: good luck with that.
13. I found out that Nina Simone had an affair with the then Prime Minister of Barbados. I like to think that I have also slept with Nina in some way.
14. I'm eating raw spinach right now. Since that is number 14, I will end this update now.
