So That's Why You Plan To Be Early

Regarding our return flight this past Wednesday.
6:30PM flight, William's out of the house (rehearsing in Sarasota) so we get the number of one of the taxi companies and reserve a 4:00 pickup.
4:05, no cab. Mom calls again to be reassured that it is on its way.
4:15, no cab, Mom calls again, good thing. Due to a glitch in the computerized dispatching, when another pickup cancelled, the system dropped us.
4:30, cab shows up and in the panic to get out of the house and on the way, Mom closes the door with her purse still inside. GAAH!
Fortunately the other keys are just two blocks away, but the holders are at the other end of the house from where she knocks. And that door is quite fiddly on the locks.
Finally all squared away and off at 4:50, arrive at 5:10.
Which proves to be a relatively light period for people going through security, so we even have time to split a barbecue chicken salad.
Easy transfer at DFW (luck of the draw that the two flights involved were just 2 gates apart), got in a bit late (the folks coming from Philadelphia were not so lucky in the connection, delaying the rest of us), get back here at about 1AM.
