12.21.07 Shuffling.
Detective Park turned his head with strained ears, leaning into the sound. Something was moving a few meters away from where he had been waiting for more than 45 minutes.
I'm gonna kick her ass. He mumbled, before finally shifting his feet at the sight of two moving shadows near the garbage bin.
Laughing.
He could barely hear them but he was positive someone just let out an evil cackle.
As he took another step forward, tilting his head to get a better look, he noticed another shadow that was shifting beneath one of the first two he had seen a while ago. After another step, he finally made out the images of two obviously drunken and greasy men, looking to each other with dirty grins on their faces. He approached them (slowly at first,) trying to make sure it was nothing more than a drunken mess.
But when he heard a faint NO... l-let, let me go..., followed by the sound of a desperate struggle from the dominated shadow, he knew something wasn't right.
"HEY! What are you doing there?" Still moving towards the garbage bin, he called to the men with enough force to let them know he was not to be messed around with.
And about as fast as it took him to move his hand to touch the surface of his gun, the men were already scurrying off in a crooked line. Surprised, he also found himself jumping away from the garbage bin when he felt something being crushed under his foot.
What's th- A syringe.
He shook his head, and he raised his gaze, directing it towards the man (he assumed) sprawled across the rancid cement. Something was gleaming. Blonde hair. He noted. He also noted the fact that other than that, there was nothing bright and happy about this... him.
Squatting beside the smelly garbage, he reluctantly reached out his hand to gently nudge the man by the shoulder.
"Sir... are you alright?" He asked.
Before he was met with the saddest blue-gray eyes he had ever seen.
