Heechul doesn’t understand what the fuss is all about. He’s seen them perform in so many TV shows, has heard stories about the ‘new guy’ - fan declared ‘odd man’ out and the Suju M anomaly. The boy has been called the Shihan love child, the thought itself earning a snarl and a click of Heechul’s tongue.
When Zhoumi walks into their dorm - Kyuhyun and Ryeowook running to welcome him - Heechul greets him with prying eyes. From the sharp tip of his nose to the twisted corners of his (Heechul can’t even explain it) smile; to his flat stomach; and finally to his thin legs and big feet - Heechul thinks Zhoumi doesn’t show much promise.
He has thoughts of getting back at those who even dare say that this… being, looks anything like Siwon and Hankyung. Heechul is just about to run and type it down before he forgets, when Zhoumi appears in front of him to shake his hand.
Zhoumi greets him with a garbled mess of mankoreanese that shouldn’t have made sense; except Heechul hears Hello, with his name along with a sweet Hyung, and a sincere Nice to meet you. His hands are then being held by the newcomer in a firm but gentle grip - Zhoumi’s head down in a respectful bow, his free hand resting on his chest.
Heechul’s heart skips a beat. He is stuck in the same position for as long as it takes Zhoumi to get to know all of them.
He feels a familiar hand on his shoulder, Are you alright? And Heechul responds by grabbing Siwon’s hand and holding it tightly. Chullie, wh- Hankyung passes by to check on them both and is surprised when Heechul snaps, Speak, now! Nervousness making Hankyung blurt out nonsense, while fully comprehensible sentences filter through Heechul’s brain.
What have you two been doing and where the hell did Zhoumi really come from?!
Siwon and Hankyung are confused beyond measure. Heechul on the other hand wants to experiment on a real Shihan love child to see if it will be as wrong, as much as Zhoumi is ‘right’.
