Seriously folks, who wants to visit Norway?!!! you do? and you? yeah!!! That's what I'm saying!!

So get your butts on Travelocity.com and come visit me, particularly those of you in Chicago and Minneapolis who have little to no excuse! The fares on "my farewatcher" have been from about $314 to $474. I realize it's not petty cash, but how often are you gonna have a friend living in Norway?? Book now and visit me after March, when the sky starts getting noticeably lighter and the snow pretends like it's melting! (It's like Minnesota, but with a few more mountains and trees, and better folk music and Norwegian accents.)

Seriously, I'm not sure if I'm staying next year or not, as the Fullbrain is only good for this year. I sent in my first report (due Dec. 1) and asked them about renewing it, or giving me more money, or something like that. So, hopefully they'll get back to me on that. Otherwise, I'm planning on applying to a handful of other scholarships. Today at school they announced a state-sponsored scholarship from Husfliden for Master's students, but alas, it regards only Art students. DAMN. However, I'm thinking about maybe taking out (more) loans. I just can't fathom going back yet at this point, both for my metal state of mind as well as for finishing my Master's degree. I can't conceive trying to finish my Master's project in the States with any sort of motivation, other than eating much burrito day after day.

OH!! Today the school cafeteria had "mexican food!" There was an option of either a large tortilla, or 3 corn hard-shell tacos (the kind that are pre-packaged), which were served with some "meat." I have no idea what sort of spices went in this, but I am pretty sure it was some kind of El Paso spice mix from a packet (which I have used, alas, but it wasn't the end of the world).

BUT, the toppings were the most amusing part.
--first, normal stuff like minced tomatoes, onions, & tri-color bell peppers, salsa (so weak!!!), sour cream
--now, the weird stuff: some kind of weird cabbagey-iceberg deal that didn't really look like lettuce, sweet corn (from cans), chili powder (straight from the spice jar), WATER CHESTNUTS, BEAN SPROUTS, THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING!!!!

For heaven's sake people.
