Briefly:
I'm here because I can't fathom how much has to be done this week, and how much of that needs to be done before 8am. Thus, it being 12:40am, I'm doing my best to ignore it for a few more minutes.
Also,
Don Giovanni is the most rewarding thing I've EVER done, and I can't believe how many hours I've already put into it (about 50 so far, without practice time). Maybe I need to go into opera...be a pit orchestral player...
This week, 'Hell Week' as some have aptly called it, leading up to the appropriately demonic-themed Mozart opera, is almost more than I can stand. I love every minute of rehearsal in the pit, but I can't seem to do anything else. I can't practice because I'm rehearsing so much my hands hurt. I can't motivate myself to do anything but read, sleep and listen to more opera when I'm at home. I haven't even played a video game at home for more than 3 weeks now, and that's pretty weird for me.
