so a whole bunch of great bands are playing in los angeles in the relatively near future, and i'm sad because i don't know if i'll be able to make it to any of them: the new amsterdams, the loved ones, cold war kids, tokyo police club, bad religion, say anything. i also am going to miss ANOTHER weakerthans tour because they are apparently too cool for southern california. live music is so much work.
speaking of work, the next week or so is going to be a hellish ordeal of midterms, but once i suffer through my papers i will be heading off to san francisco to hang out with hippies and (if my dear friend claire has her way) sleep in the streets. i'm pretty stoked, because it's definitely getting to the point where i just can't read any more about derrida or the '60s. plus, san francisco is a pretty neat city.
in other news, my dad recently sent me an email in which he used the term "BTW." what is the world coming to?
