Oh my...I was not expecting that ending. It's ripped the words out of my mouth.

Talk about getting down to the angsty roots. I think you've done a very nice job capturing Sylar's confusion over his own feelings for Mohinder. As much as he's insistent on Mohinder saying "I love you" Sylar can't quite put into words what it is that draws him back to Mohinder. There's this core truth to their feelings, but it can never be. So it can only exist in a brief moment in their shared past, when Sylar was pretending to be someone else -- it was as real as it could be then, but not enough to overcome everything else.

I really appreciate Mohinder's resistent attitude in this story. It's one of the things I really admire in Mohinder -- his willingness to put himself on the line, to risk himself. When it comes to the powerplay struggle between these two Mohinder's attitude can be one of his greatest strengths in throwing Sylar off balance. Even here when Mohinder has lost everything he remains resolute to the end.

It's a sad ending, but it is Mylar.

Mylar certainly does lend itself to sad endings.

I think Sylar is very confused, and so broken. He really doesn't understand love, because he's never really been loved.

I didn't know what to do with Mohinder at first but then I heard my creative writing teacher saying 'Conflict, conflict, conflict!' in the back of my head and it seemed natural to bring out the part of Mohinder that's so incredibly stubborn and resistant. I like that part of him as a character and I think it's possibly the reason Mylar works in my head, because he won't just give in to Sylar because of his fear of him.
