Out with the old, on with the new... job!

As anyone I know who reads this journal is aware, I have at last escaped my dreaded co-worker and have gone to a standard 8-5 (with hour lunch) job. Still customer service (how few jobs aren't customer service, in some way!) I have gone from working in a minimalist office located at a public transportation center with only a woman who drives me nuts as company, to a windowless office shared by five other people, in a tiny-town setting (though not as tiny as where I live; they actually have a sidewalk). Of those five people, one has the same first name as I do; a last name that begins with the same two letters; and her middle name consists of one of mine. (I have a hyphenated one.) We both have birthdays in the same month, too, though she is a couple years younger and her birthday happens a couple weeks earlier. Freakiness.

The new hours are starting to catch up to me. Early to bed tonight. When the weather has been nice, I have gone walking during my lunch hour; it feels good to get out and move. There is a small house I noticed the first time I walked, with a "SOLD" sign before it. I rather like that house. Not too big, not tiny. And a clearly furnished garage that'd be excellent for rearing rabbits in. Not any time soon, I think, heh heh - especially with someone having bought it. 'sides, as it is I'll be scrounging pennies to both pay for the new car and to pay COBRA for my benefits for the next three months. Other than the random cold, I am usually fairly healthy, but knowing my luck if I do not carry my benefits, I'll NEED them before they'd go back in effect at this new place.
