Behold, I have a rec list...
I've mentioned this in different places around the internet, and to different people, but I also wanted to say it in general, because I'm like that and stuff.
In case anyone's interested, I keep a rec list.
I keep the list on Delicious, and update it regularly. I usually rec fic or vids, on a rare occasion some meta or something else entirely. Most recs are pairing based, and I tend to gravitate to only one or two pairings per fandom. If my fave is not your fave, you should give the list a miss, maybe. I can also be ridiculously critical.
Each rec contains tags, such as author, rating, fandom, etc., the summary, and notes on why or what I thought was good. Currently, I have recs in three fandoms: Merlin, UK politics RPF, and Sherlock (BBC), as well as the occasional one in another fandom. Anyone on my flist interested in Torchwood, my recs for that fandom continue to stay up at torchwood_house, although I'm not actively reccing there any more.
Authors on my flist, yes, this means you may find your own work on the list. And yes, some of the recs contain criticism. This post is also meant as a place for anyone, authors or readers or folks who are intrigued, to ask questions, suggest fic, or tell me that I'm being bitchy and classist. Feel free. I started this list as a means to keep track of things myself, but it turns out people like rec lists, so I'm trying to make my small contribution to the internet. Or something :P.
