Bandwagon time again!

I was hoping this would not happen so soon. And by "this" I mean another completely random unfair and, quite frankly, idiotic attempt at censorship and discrimination.

For those not in the know, have a linky.

For those wanting arguments (do you need any?), see my previous postI'm not locking this, because, damn it, I will not stay silent. And I ( Read more... )

Just sent my message to Amazon. Fuckity fuck fuck. Sorry, had to get that off my chest, and it did not make me sound rational in my customer service email.

I don't know if Amazon can read my gritted teeth and angry fuming off the page, but it was rather tersely worded, I think. Sounding rational is hard when they're behaving like utter arses and idiots...

I'm comment-porn-battling this weekend, but Jack had to put in his two cents about this situation. (It's currently the last comment fic here, if you want to see -- for the crack: http://andreth47.livejournal.com/10622.html )

Not that I don't think this gay=adult thing is pure bullshit, really - but I'm not sure the problem with "Anything Goes" is because of the sales ranking mess. Very often, when the publishers are pushing new product (aka the softcover) they arrange to pull the old product (the hardcover). I mean, the hardcover of "I Am What I Am," which hasn't even been released yet, comes up on the top page when you search for JB. I think this particular issue might just be coincidence.

I would completely agree with you -- if it weren't for the fact that the sales ranking has been pulled on the hardcover edition, and not on the others, but the book is still available. And also, coincidentally, the hardcover was listed in the "gay & lesbian" section, while the paperback was not. Miraculously, the paperback survived the cull. Along with all the other books that have been affected, I don't think this is a coincidence.
