I have been infested.
Just when it looked like this throat ache/cough thing was only going to be that and not a full blown cold, my body decided to laugh at the idea that I could avoid such a fate and started to ache depressingly and leak bodily fluids from orifices and make me sniffly and pathetic.
Since I do not suffer any type of cold well (read: I whine pathetically and make whimpering noises) and I cannot take time off from work because my boss is away and I am the last defence against all hell breaking loose (plus my career chances would be, well, inconvenienced to say the least) I am doomed to work this entire weekend, and then proceed merrily back to work on Tuesday.
So, this is me whining and huddling under a blanket and consuming all the cold medicines known to man while making pathetic noises at myself. If I am slow to respond to your emails or comments, that's why.
*sniffles*
