Oh, Alex. My heart aches for you and your loved ones. I wish you all the best.

Fandom, I'm glad to see you're all people who get it and have nothing but positive things to say. Thank you.

I admit I was scared to go on LJ and other places last night, but the overwhelming positive support has been a welcome sight.

It has been amazing from what I've seen. I was at work all day, but what I came home to made me proud of this fandom.

It's not an easy thing to deal with, no. Fandom is a wonderful place!

God, I feel so bad for him. I just can't stop thinking about it. :(

Me, too. Here's to hoping he'll be better soon!

I saw this when it hit and thought it was really smart of him to just dig and deal with it and fantastic that the show and the network are being so supportive. Nice to hear that the fans are as well.

Yeah, he made the right choice, taking care of himself and that's good. The fans are amazing and respectful and I love my fandom a little more today.

I can't imagine anyone in this fandom being anything BUT supportive.

I really feel for Alex and always thought he pushed himself too hard---good for him for realizing he needed to take a step back and deal with this head-on.

He is very smart and very brave.

Me neither, but it's good to see nonetheless.

I had been noticing he was getting thin lately, knew he had the injury and was thinking he should take a step back, but this I did not expect. (If anyone, I always expected it to be Scott, you know?) But he takes his responsibility and makes the choice to deal with this, and I applaud him for that.

Very brave. Word.

Do you know how and when he got the injury? It's his shoulder, right?

It's his shoulder, yes. All I knew was that he had injured his shoulder and injured his bicep in the same arm -- it was in the last Men's Fitness article, I think. But other people in fandom mentioned it might be a re-injury or continuation of an injury he apparently got shootin 1.24, that I didn't know about. I think the latest injury was about November/December, but I don't know much for sure.
