Hawaii Five-0 ep 2.14: Ahhhhh.

Quickly, my thoughts can be summed up with: okay, that wasn't perfect. It wasn't, but it was good and solid and nice, with an interesting plot, a very touching ending, and a lot of loose ends being wrapped up.

Did they hype the Sherlburne thing too much? Possibly, but I find myself happy at the resolution nonetheless. Yes, it's a bit... hmmm, but Joe leaving, well, there was a lot of emotional satisfaction in how they handled the parallels, and wow, O'Loughlin did really rock that scene.

Scott Caan and Claire van der Boom. WOW. There is nothing I can say about those two except, perfect. I would watch them every week. The final scene between Danny & Steve? Boys! So in love, gorgeous :).

Adam Noshimuri continues to hold a special place in my heart. Sorry, guys, you must be heartily sick of hearing me talk about him every week! Kono and Chin were in their proper places again, which was happy making.

...Forgot to add a nod to wardrobe, who have been building up beautifully this series, and can totally stay :).

The direction... wasn't to my tastes, and that's being polite about it. 'nough said.

The writing was... the plot was okay and decent, the comic relief was sadly offensive, and Sang Min has far more capabilities as a character than they gave him room for, which was disappointing. Adored seeing Kamekona as a bad guy, that was good and made sense. Sadly, the minute long Subway infomercial made me want to spork my eyes out.

All in all: solid, not perfect, interesting but not, well, perfect, and in general, looking forward to the next one. Now if I could just get rid of that emo lump in my throat that the ending left me with, we'd be all set.

Should also add a very unwelcome thank you note for the schedulers keeping my hectic January into account and airing not one but two reruns in the coming weeks. Sorry, all, I realise this really only suits me.
