I watched Copying Beethoven at the cinema tonight. At imdb.com many people seem to be quite unhappy with the film for different reasons, but in my opinion, the film managed to visualise music and create breathtakingly emotional pictures for it ( Read more... )

Looks very interesting. Ed Harris is a fine actor. I remember Gary Oldman playing Beethoven years ago. Was it "Immortal Beloved" ?
I think it was quite good, if I remember.

Last night some girlfriends and I saw "Hot Fuzz". It was a British cop comedy - extremely silly and gory black humour. I laughed my head off and so did the men behind us. Even Snapey would have cracked a smile !

Yes, it was Immortal Beloved, but I haven't watched it. Ed Harris is superb, and I always think it's a shame that at reast here only some of his films seem to be shown.

Oh, I saw a preview for "Hot Fuzz" and it looked fabulous! I'm glad to hear you liked it, because it's at the top of my list (er, well, behind a couple of other obvious choices coming up here soon *noblesonsnokcake*).

December 2007? Are you usually behind the USA when it comes to releases, or do you get films at the same time? If it's really December, we will not get it here before March 2008.
