Orbiting Icarus: Bad SyFy in Action
This is for scifiland, which the challenge to make a sci-fi show. No one ever said it had to be good! (So it's not.) Yay participation points, though. Go Team Antihero.
GENRE: Sci-fi Drama
PLOT: Simon Keller is suddenly in charge of three nieces (Ivy, Indigo, and Impala) while manning the space station Gravitas, which is orbiting the planet Icarus in the Poppy Galaxy. He's especially in charge his own daughter Veritas. Beamed aboard the station from a neighboring planet, since Icarus is a devolving sun, the three girls must adjust to the death of their infamous grandmother Gemma Keller, a socially unacceptable socialite. Trying to adjust to a very strict and scientific life is difficult for the trio and the space station is never the same again. Especially when the Association, which owns the station, doesn't care for the newbies since Veri is already a weapon.

Ivy is the youngest of Bradley Keller's daughters at 16. Born on July 25th, 2853. Named after a vine growing in her mother's garden. British accent though neither Bradley nor her mother, Jasmina, are. Spent first three years abroad before moving back to Providence, Rhode Island. Bright student. Hates the ocean. More quiet than Indigo or Impala. Likes the color orange and covers everything in room in it. Likes shiny things, like vinyl. Not a rebel. Likes boys and girls. Drives uncle mad from boredom. Doesn’t like Vertias, either. Prefers hanging alone. Misses Grandma the most. Doesn’t remember mother well.
Indigo Lumiere Keller

Adopted daughter at age 17, now 24. Eldest and very,very protective. Employed on Gravitas as food technician since she was manager at a local diner. Formerly named Adrienne, she changed name to I to fit with Impala and Ivy. Loves the colors black and green. Loves to surf. Loves to eat french fries with apple cider dipping sauce. Knew Bradley after Jasmina died. Gemma didn't approve her less bohemian life style but was warming up to grandmother when the bus killed Gemma. Indigo has a metallic clone named Evelyn that takes care of her mysterious medical issues that causes gossip on station.
Impala Lily Keller

Middle daughter at 19, she was attending university when kicked out for being a rebel and protesting drilling on MXR95, a planet with a very heavy population of poor class people. Impala started a clothing brand made from sustainable material and recycled uses named SILK. Currently hates living on space station because her business was kaputed due to move. Loves all colors, but especially soft, pastels. Wears flowy skirts a lot. Throwback to 1960s hippy type look and attitude. Gemma's favorite. Named after an invading plant in mom's garden. Genius potential. Helped fix a large mathematical problem onboard with no formal training and was recruited to biotech department without choice thanks to Simon's interference.
Simon Keller

Captain of the Icarus, uncle and father. Answers to Association on all major decisions. Stopped Gravitas from crashing into Icarus at age 24, right after having Veritas through cloning machine since he didn't have time for a relationship. Rough. Gruff. Doesn't put up with bullcrap. Hates the colors orange, blue, and pink. Well-read. Black sheep of Keller family for running ship and not lazing about. Helped Indigo find Bradley and become family member. Very serious, not a big joker or affectionate. Knows the secret code to erupt bomb located on Icarus but won't use it. Has to fight off Association's desire to replace. Has plans to usurp leader of Association, Maxwell Defibrillator, at cost of Veritas - who doesn't know.
Veritas Kindle Keller

Simon Keller's daughter/clone. Loves military regiment lifestyle. Aged 18 but physically been around 6 years. Has a pet turtlebee named Darla. Named Veritas because she is a secret weapon against Association. Gemma never knew her. Never been off space station. Hates niece/cousin Ivy for reasons unknown. Dates Jeremy Granger, a medical lieutenant in the defense departments. Is in high demand for combat skills. Loves to one-up people. Very pretentious. Always wears ice blue to match suit. Can shoot any mechanical weapon. Zoom lens in eyes that makes targeting easy. Has a mole in Indigo's mechanical clone and Defibrillator's butler. Kills on Simon's command. Sarcastic like Mex from Dark Angel. Part-alien reptilian DNA added for hit woman status - which is secret since it was against the law.
