So, I move on the 12th. Well, kinda. So tell me, why in the hell do people get Mondays off from delivering furniture? I understand you want those two days off, but life sucks. Suck it up and deal. It's not like other people don't get days off that aren't back to back. People, do in fact, like to have their purchases and not having to wait for 600 years. So my bed and such won't get there until the 14th. What I'm going to do it is get a blow up mattress and pump, so I can sleep there and then on Tuesday, the furniture people can come. After I take stuff out of the car and my mom bounces, I'll get some groceries. I'll need to eat those two days. I'll put my clothes and computers in my car and my kitchen stuff in my mom's. That'll leave me plenty of room, along with sets and my curtains. So I'm not flashing everyone. Those rinky blinds don't hide much of anything.
I forsee trips to Walmart this week to finish out. Container Store and the pet store once I move in. It can wait a couple days. But at least I'll have the basics: clothes, curtains, towels, kitchen stuff. That's enough for a couple days. And the fake bed.
I bought quite a bit of real furniture the other day: I was gifted a bed (but not by Niecey). It's a nice comfy
full sized matress. It's plush because I'm a spoiled creature damn it. For my purchases: a
dresser sans mirror,
night stand,
two chairs in taupe,
sleeper loveseat, and
two ottomans in cocoa to serve as a coffee table (and extra setting). We'll see about the rugs, depending on the prices, but I like
this one for my bedroom.
I can't wait to get in and organize. I have a kitchen table already there. I'm buying the former tenants, along with two chairs. I need to paint before I bring Noelle over. Just the kitchen. Better call my dad, I guess, and set that up. We'll have to prime and then paint. Imagine a darker Home Depot orange. On walls. Ew, ew. I might not have internet, other than my phone for a couple days. We'll see. I'll need to set up my cable box and stuff that week, too. Now to bed I go.
