So, not a lot of *major* news in my life, sad to say. But there was some things.
One thing. I crashed last night, sugarwise. I don't know how low since I was more concerned with getting sugar in me to counteract rather than prick myself and read something I couldn't. Low enough that I had weird perception going on. It was like my eyes were randomly zooming in and out of the movie I was watching. Not cool, or good. So I had to deal with that. Of course my sugar was skyhigh after trying to get my sugar back up last night. Then taking my mom to the doc earlier, my sugar crashed while I was driving. I had planned on eating on the way but couldn't find any. So I made a mad dash to Starbucks. Got a venti caramel frap and some marble cake. Ate some of mom's lemon too. (Luckily I'm smart enough to take a gel to bump up my sugar too.) It was just very scary, and later skyrocketed to the 300s. I think I need to take my dosages back down from what my doc suggested. Good clue, since I've noticed lower readings anyway. Like in the 90s 4 hours after I ate. Not normal for me.
At the doc, my mom's appointment was at 2. We were there at 1:48, according to the people at the receptionist/check-in. Right. So the office of the neuro-opthomalogist (yeah, that's spelled wrong) is in a suite other specialists. They all use a universal check in, then the office we're going to gets called to let them know we're here. Right. So, we wait. 3 rolls around, still not in. Okay, I pester mom to ask about it. Find out that we're next and should be up momentarily. 4 rolls around. I'm pissed. So *I* go up and ask. "Oh, we're so sorry. Let me find out." Lady calls and talks to specialist's receptionist. "Yeah, it says they came in at 1:48. I don't know. Okay." Hangs up and looks at me. "I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. They'll be out to get you in a minute." Yeah, right. Like I'll believe that shit. Close to 4:40, they finally call us. Turns out the outer office never *informed* them we were there. The office had written us off and assumed we weren't coming! So...we waited for three hours for NO reason. WTF? And it turns out, it happens more often than not there. I say fire the idiots and get someone in there that can pick up a phone and let them know the clients are there. Just saying. We weren't the only ones. Someone else was waiting 3 hours (1-4) for her doc on the other side, not ours. Yeesh!
So, that's my life. Now I'll wait for my songs to download so I can get some sleep. Huh, shoulda cut it, but meh. Don't wanna. Too tired.
