From none other than my mother, would you believe? I have no idea where she learnt to be so cheeky, though I'm hardly suprised when I stop and think about it.
I'm damp. I was soggy. And before that I was sopping wet. It's raining you see. And I just had a lovely conversation with my dad through his office window about whether or not I can justify going to my last lecture of the day (having slept through the first four). Turns out we were rambling back and forth so long, I missed my bus and hardly had a choice. The lecture wasn't examinable anyway.
Woolworths has this infuriating ability to have exactly what I feel like (and know I shouldn't get) on sale. Last night after work I managed to spend a large portion of this week's pay on English muffins, family-sized blocks of chocolate and microwave pasta meals. I bought the store out of these pasta meals. The lady at the checkout was amused. Our conversation went a little like this:
Her: Stocking up for the week, eh?
Me: Yeah, if only my mother could see me now.
Her: *chuckle*
I made the eyebrow lady laugh. Mum would be impressed.
