My dearest FireFox,
Life without you would be very dark, and I would quite possibly have given up on web browsers entirely by now. You have done much. And for that, I thank you.
However, I speak English. I write in English. I'm not American. I do not speak American-English. Nor will I ever for, God willing, as long as I live write in American-English.
Your efforts were once amusing. But have since come to grate on my nerves as if I were repeatedly falling off a bike at a high speed and naked. On a gravel road. With glass. And used blood-drawing needles.
Just thought you ought to know.
Love,
Amy.

Okay, today's been eventful. And yet, nothing has actually happened. I helped out a bit with some book work for the organisation that I used to work for, and then headed into town (initially) to meet KC.
After peeing in BK (and -by the end of the day- every other toilet in town), I met up with Kristin, Nigel and co and we headed up to the Kelburn campus. Next year, I'm only ever going to catch the 18. On sunny and/or rainy days at least.
If there's one thing I can say about VUW staff, it's that they're friendly - even if they think you're an idiot. So, *yay* goes out to you guys. Unfortunately for me, awesome smiles and helpful intentions don't seem to make my life any easier when it comes to enrolling at your fine institution.
My conditional offer of study said that my request to enroll for ECON140 was declined because I hadn't completed ECON130. However, since the printing (and arrival) of my offer of study, I have received a letter from the Economics department confirming that the paper I completed at Lincoln has been credited across and all is a-okay.
So, taking the offer of study and the letter from the Economics department, we hiked up to Kelburn to the enrollment office. Kristin went and got herself sorted first, and all was well. Then it was my turn. Luckily, all I had to do to get everything sorted and be on my way was to go across to Easterfield and get it signed off by the commerce dude and/or dudette (you can't always tell these days).
One little problem. Their office closes at 12.
We got there abut half-past 2.
So, tomorrow's the last day people will be on campus before they all close up for Christmas (ZOMG I just heard thunder - awesome), so I have to go do the same again tomorrow. This time, in the morning. And... in a car.
Because they're slackers and hadn't sent a photo in earlier, Kristin and Nigel went and got their mug-shots I.D. photos taken at 3, and have now got their I.D. cards. (Wait, it gets better).
We headed down to
Student Job Search, and those with proof of tertiary enrollment could complete their registration. Of course, with a completed registration, jobs are to be applied for. Kristin even has one already! Which is no fair awesome. Honest.
Don't get me wrong, I love you guys - really, I do - but I was mildly annoyed. Ha. Mildly annoyed. Mildly annoyed. Ha ha ha ha. Mildly. Annoyed *glare*.
Don't mind me, I'm only bitching.
