Greetings from Korea

well, here I am, in Korea....and it fucking rawks! It is the land of the random and the not quite right, where surrealism is reality, and the owner of the sauna/pc cafe I am in brings me ice cream and cookies (yes, I have died and gone to heaven).

Anyone with a uni degree who wants a job, I would highly reccomend teaching ESL in another country, Korea is an easy place to find a job. The kids are cute, the money is fantasitc, and the weekend night life is like nothing I have ever experienced.

I have had too many experiences to list them all here, I can barely keep up with my written journal at home. But let's list soem highlights....

- The weekend I arrived I perfoprmed CPR (the chest pushing part) on a man who fell down the stairs. Apparently I saved his life but was too drunk at the time to recall having done it.

- I experienced my first sexual harrassing on the subway the other night, a common occurence for ladies here. I yelled at the guy to stop (a-ju-ma (don't do that)) then proceeded to cough all over him, making sure to spray him with the green goo I have been coughing up due to the nasty cold I have. At this point my nose was also running so I wiped it with my hand and wiped it off on him. For this heroic action I recieved applause from my co-workers.

- I am now 26 and my co-workers gave me a birhtday dinner at a mexican place, for which I even had a date, a rare occurenece here for a white girl as Korean men will not look at us (for teh most part) and foreign men like the Korean girls.

-I have started eating meat on occasion again but find that I dislike the taste so much that I find ways to avoid it.

Anyways, I still have email to answer and whatnot, so until next time, anong (good bye)
