I was unsuccessful. Neither Linens 'N Things nor Bed Bath & Beyond had what I wanted. Well, that's not entirely true. Linens 'N Things had a really nice table for about three times as much as I was willing to pay. :)
I went into my friendly neighborhood Michaels and was immediately reminded of mel_nic -- I miss you! The gravitational pull of the Christmas crafts was almost too much bear but I managed to avoid their deadly orbit. I bought an instruction booklet on crocheting and some yarn. I am going to teach myself how to crochet, damnit! Saw lots of things I'd like to make eventually. Friends: prepare yourselves for warm fuzzy holiday gifts.
