Fanfiction

OK,so I need this off my chest and it has to do with the - mostly - lovely stories fans write.
It's not...I'm not trying to be disrespectful or single-minded,though I fear I might come across as one,but I kinda...abhor stories that exceed even the illogical twists and turns of fiction.I understand that we are free to write what we like and I don't read what does not suit my tastes, but it makes me wonder sometimes.
I get it,fanfiction is our middle finger to the creators of a fandom, but there are a few things that just can't be so easy and popular to become fanfiction.
You can't...completely disregard a storyline and the personalities of the characters. It's damn disrespectful to the characters,no matter how imaginary they are,and their creators as well as portrayers.
There are some GREAT pieces of fanfiction, and yes I admit most are what I love, but they are excellently written.
And they are all about my ships.Mostly.There are some friendship/family things - like Naruto/aniki!Kakashi - in there, but I tend to go romantic m/f heroes - i.e. Harry/Ginny,Sparabeth,Mergana,Skoulson,Nick/Claudia-Jenny,Doctor/Rose,stuff like that.
So,yeah.
I get it,I do.I've written stuff,too.It's a release.But,you know keep it,I don't know,real?Convincing?True to canon in a way?
You can't have a character say 'I hate you' in an indirect way to someone and then make them have babies in 2000 stories,'cause it's creepy in my opinion and completely disregard the characters feelings in canon.
Beyond that,I wonder about the grammar, the spelling and a whole load of other crap,as names and times, that get often wrong that I need to bleach my eyes - and ain't that just sad? - and scrub my brain.Because, people!Microsoft has this little nifty thing called 'Word' and some sites do spell-checks,thank you very much. And if you take time to post,do some research on your timelines of the canon you're obsessing over.It can make your fanfiction infinitely better and enjoyable.
Rant over.
(Sorry,I'm a little bitchy tonight...)
