Today I was shown how to fix my standing posture (which, without my knowing it, has been dreadful for pretty much my whole life). This is exciting, but it's sad to think that I spent so many years thinking that I had GOOD posture. Also, my poor little stomach muscles are pathetically weak, which is sad, too.
But anyway...the good news of the evening is that I managed to procure a whole bunch of hip-hop from el internet and watched a really cool Discovery Channel piece about Rasputin. The bad news is that none of my papers are any closer to being finished than they were at the beginning of the week.
HOWEVER, I'm getting excited about my topics...so I'm hoping that means that I'll be able to bust out some decent papers in a small amount of time (because if not I'm pretty much screwed--but then, what else is new?).
Antonin Artaud is a total BAMF, and I'm really digging how dark and passionate he and his writings are--his whole thing about the plague is really interesting.
Cris is gone (to various places including: Scotland, Austria, and Amsterdam) and will remain gone until a week from Sunday. Clay and Jamie will arrive tomorrow (yay!). The pending weekend and the following week will be totally bomb. (Gay bars, visiting frat boys, markets, random excursions, Sligo, London...you know, that type of thing.)
Anyway, I should go do something productive.
