Most of these were done back in March. I've not really had time to do anything else since I have been preparing for/started back into college. I even took a little bit of an internet hiatus there for a bit. We'll see if I can get back into things ( Read more... )

A word of advice, don't save your graphics as GIFs as it only supports 256 colors.

Well, you should use GIFs only when you animate something. Since GIF, like I said, supports only 256 colors, the quality of the images suffers. You can see it for yourself, make a colorful banner and save it as GIF and PNG or JPEG and you'll see a lot of difference.

And which graphic exactly are you referring to?

It's most visible on your FO banner, look at the horse, the colors more specifically.

I was thinking that possibly it was my computer monitor not allowing me to see the mistakes. I am on another person's computer at the moment and I still do not see what you are referring to. The image looks exactly how I wanted it to look. Those were the colors in the image when I saved it for use. As far as I am concerned with the colors, I have no problem with anything. The reason my images are saved as .gifs is because the image host I use tends to shrink the images otherwise, especialy the wallpapers. I personally do not think it is a big deal but thank you for you advice. I will take it into consideration whenever I have the time to make graphics in the future.

Sorry, I don't. The graphic was made in March. Since then I've deleted most of the images I used to make these graphics.

It can screw up the coloration of an icon sometimes.

Weird thing is, I've saved things as animated .gifs in Photoshop plenty of times and they looked the same to me... maybe it depends on the program.

That said, ganking the Albel icon. :D
