Oh! Oh, I *like* this -- I like this a lot! What impresses me most is the confidence with which you trace defining moments of their lives across wide swathes of time -- you never get bogged down, but you never give short shrift to one scene over the other. Structurally & tonally, it's *really* well-balanced.
But my favoritest (TOTALLY A WORD) bits are the tiny moments of dialogue and action that are just *them*, purely Buffy and wonderfully Giles.
Like this! She slipped it onto her finger, and waved her hand at him, causing it to promptly fly off, nearly hitting him in the face ♥ ♥ ♥ I can *see* this on-screen, you know?
You can’t rely on Slayer ability when you’re in a car. Your reflexes don’t extend to the hunk of metal you’re steering. AND THIS. I can see Buffy's pissy little scowl and *hear* Giles's patience strained to the utmost limit.
I miss Buffy. This is beautiful. I love the way you captured her memories just the way they would come, in bits and pieces. But every bit, every piece told it's own story.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Twitter has lured us away, but LJ is kind of like an old, soft slipper. It feels good to be here. And it's nice to come back here and get cool presents like your fic.
Oh, this was so, so beautiful! I have quite a fondness for nonlinear fics, and this one was done so masterfully. It was poignant and delightful and sad and unpredictable, pretty much like life. Loved it!

This is wonderful. And so are you.

That being said, I enjoyed your ability to stay in character, the writing, and the way you showed the couple's progression.

But I agree with glossing...clearly the voices of our Buffy loves.
And now I want to watch Buffy. Great.
