So I'm back at school. I'm in Cooley right now, procrastinating on reading this huge ass book that puts me to sleep. It's been raining since I got here, which sucks a fat one 'cause I only have a bike...
im staying at 84 broad...the kitchen is mad scary. and reslife said it had utensils but they lied...i have no spoon to eat my yogurt or cereal with and this makes me disgruntled. i sorta used a serving spoon this morning-it didnt work out so well.
and the squirrels here are insane. yesterday one broke into my room from the fire escape outside my window. they knocked over poor sir ferdinand (my plant) with the screen and broke into my cereal, bread, and oatmeal. I saw the little culprit later outside my window, laughing at me with those theify squirrel eyes. they also congregate outside the bathroom window. i saw two of them chowing down on some cheerios someone left on the window sill. they didnt even move when i came up to the other side of the screen. i hope they arent rabid 'cause im still gonna eat that food...
my room isnt that bad-i had to do a lot of cleaning though. the chair i had was wooden and had some sticky material caked onto it. i could scrape it off with my nail. i made a futile attempt to clean it, and then stole a chair from downstairs...i put up posters and my tapestry with duct tape, but they all fell down overnight bc of this damn humidity.
its not worth it to put em back-im leaving tomorrow to go to eastern ny and and vermont to look at the rocks well be studying. well be back for the weekend and then i have one more week where im living before i have to move to temporary housing-drake or curtis-while they clean summer housing. i dont see why they cant just move me into shepardson then...oh reslife, how much you suck.
so yeah, overall i guess its ok here. everyone ive talked to seems to rave about staying here over the summer...maybe i just need to settle in more...nobodys all that social, most people leaving soon to have a little vacay before school starts...everyone keeps their door closed...oh well, i guess im not feeling that social either...at least the geology people seem cool for the most part.
in other news, i talked to rene last night for a good hour and a half. good to catch up with that kid. i hope he figures everything out. and im glad ive got some more buddies in austin now. its good to talk to them online, ive just been so tired...
and on that note, i think i should get back to reading...im debating going up to 401, the geology study lounge...theres going to be people in there, and they all know each other, and im just going to sit there and try to read, but really just listen to their conversations and not introduce myself...thats the sorta mood im in...maybe its the weather.
