As mentioned last Friday, I was under a cold. A slightly weird one, as it happened, in that I went from the awful sore-throat-shivery-achey-feverishness of "coming down with a cold" to the tight chest and hacking cough of "getting over a cold" without ever really having the snuffly bit in the middle ( Read more... )

Highly appropriate, I felt. I cannot fault either you or your character for her... erm... "choice". :-)

Obviously, it was a game of sufficiently fine setting, pace and narration that her... erm... choices came well to the front of my "what is the most successful approach here" decision-making!

I remember someone telling me about a game where a character's reaction, on being presented with lots of unearthly goings-on, was to leave, get on a plane, and never come back.

I guess for games like CoC you're playing the people who didn't just leg it at the first opportunity, but it's good to get some realistic responses in sometimes.

My character did spend about half the game declaring she was about to take the next train back to London. Dunno if it would have helped... plot often follows scaredy PCs :)

Ah, I thought I spotted you with S but wasn't sure... Also wasn't very up to conversation on account of sore throat and having to shout over the racket, so wasn't at my most sociable, I'm afraid!
