I had heard the name Mando Diao before, but assumed he was some sort of kora virtuoso from Senegal or similar. Wonder if they aimed for that deliberately?

Apparently they used to be called something different, but the name "Mando Diao" was revealed to the singer in a dream... so perhaps his subconcious would secretly like to be a Senagalese virtuoso.
