Apparently,
marjory tagged me. I almost didn't notice because I nearly wasn't looking. Anyway... apparently these are the rules.
1. People who have been tagged must write the answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new, original question.
2. Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
1. How many clowns would it take to freak you out?
Er... was this question added by someone easily freaked out by clowns? I don't know my answer. It's about as meaningful as "how many bank managers would it take to freak you out?". Or "how many lollipop ladies...".
Also, very context dependent. In my bedroom, in the middle of the night? One clown would freak me out, because what the hell is that clown doing in my bedroom?
2. What is your favorite card game?
Er... I barely ever play cards, so don't really have one. I quite enjoy playing cribbage, so long as someone explains all the rules to me again before we start. Mostly because I have quite a nice cribbage board, although I think of it as a scoring board for Fives-and-Threes.
3. Tea or coffee?
Mostly tea. I like coffee, but it doesn't like me all that much and tends to make my stomach hurt.
4. Five things you can touch right now without getting up.
Laptop (duh), mug of Ribena, pepper grinder (I'm sitting at the dinner table), pen, coloured print outs of a Chinese Checkers board.
5. You have to be somewhere on the fourth floor of a building. Do you take the lift/elevator?
Probably not, though it depends whether I was in a hurry. And whether I could find the stairs.
6. How do you feel about your reflection?
The opposite way it feels about me, of course.
7. What are you thinking about right now?
Right now? I'm thinking about what I'm thinking about right now... aarrrgh, recursion.
Oh, wait, I can change these questions when I don't like them, can't I?
So...
New 7. What did you last eat?
An oven pizza, which had extra buffalo mozarella and chicken on it.
8. Write the first word that comes to mind.
I don't like that one either. I declare it to be:
New 8. What noise, if any, does your phone make when it rings?
Mine goes brrrrng-brrrrng, old skool. This makes me happy. My previous phone didn't have that option. My new phone has a pretty rubbish vibrate which I usually miss, so for the first time since I got a mobile I don't have it on silent-but-vibrate all the time.
9. Dog person or cat person?
Historically, cat person. Although I also like dogs so long as they're big enough to see rather than fall over. Now that I steer clear of cats due to allergies, I'm not really a furry animal person at all. I'd quite like a gecko.
10. If you came across $2,000 (or other currency) would you keep it or turn it in?
Turn it in, and hope it wasn't claimed. I once handed in £270 I found in an otherwise empty wallet in Cowley Road. It was unclaimed, and I got the money back 6 months later.
11. What was the last thing that you bought?
Dinner for me and ChrisC last night. Lisa's on Pitshanger Lane does a good veal schnitzel.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I don't think I can choose one clear answer to that. I'd like to go to Japan, but I'm not sure now's the time. I'd like to go to Iceland, but I've been there before so it seems a waste. Ditto New Zealand. If I had one clear answer to this question I'd be planning my next holiday and working out how to save up for it :)
13. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I don't know. I've never know where I'd be in five years time. I don't really plan ahead.
14. Last book you read?
Last book I finished was
Empire in Black and Gold. I'm still in the middle of
Twilight Robbery, because the hardback is a bit chunky to carry about on the train.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
Trying to catch up with life. Finish off admin stuff from the rapper competition. Tidy the flat. Do all those bothersome jobs that never get done.
16. What's your dream job?
I don't know. See planning ahead - if I had aspirations, I could make plans to try and achieve them. I like the job I have, although I don't think I'd describe it as a dream job.
17. How are you?
I'm all right, thanks. Bit tired.
Tagging... er... I dunno.
