Hunting for the perfect bed wasn’t included in Kai’s agenda that day, so was looking after a certain hot guitarist who just about flipped the entire home section of the department store to look for their object of conquest. As to why Uruha had asked him, HIM, of all people, to accompany him in his hunt when he could ask the GazettE’s resident designer/artist/decorator Ruki to help him, he didn’t know but once he had seen the blond standing on his doorstep, looking all gorgeous and painfully beautiful with his lush lips and mesmerizing eyes, he knew he wouldn’t be able to say no. After all, Uruha had a special place in his heart, making it a bit-- no, make that very difficult for him to reject the skilled guitarist.

He inhaled deeply, holding back the sigh that threatened to slip through his throat as he watched his bandmate walk along a row of neat and well-crafted bed frames that cradled lush looking mattresses and beddings, looking like he was a detective intent on finding clues to solve a mystery. Uruha’s beautiful face was marred with this look of deep concentration and his perfectly shaped brows were knitted so tight together, Kai thought he would never smile again. In that moment, the drummer knew that he should already say goodbye to the Walking Dead marathon that he had planned to do today. Maybe he should start apologizing to Rick and Daryl for ditching them again. He was about to run his fingers through his unstyled mop of dark brown hair when suddenly, Uruha stopped, his burning sorrell eyes carefully raking over a queen-sized bed made of wood with black shiny finish. The piece of furniture had a comfy looking mattress covered with black silk sheets and a dozen of pillows in different sizes and shades of gray.

All of a sudden, Kai felt as if the goddess of mercy had casted her ray of hope upon him. He might just continue with his Walking Dead marathon after all. With an excited grin, he practically bounced over at Uruha’s location, dead set on convincing the wondering brunet to buy the bed he was eyeing on, his handsome face void of any suspicious expression. “This is a pretty nice one. It’d go well with your wallpaper and your side drawers.” The brunet stated, his voice pleasant, convincing, very suggestive, almost similar to a salesman trying to fool a clueless customer in buying a defective product.

Uruha crossed his arms over his chest, his brows furrowing further in contemplation as he considered the drummer’s opinion. Indeed, this bed would be perfect for his bedroom but... “Is it comfortable?” He asked without even looking at his bandmate.

Kai let out an awkward laugh instead of rolling his eyes in irritation. Uruha was really taking buying furniture very seriously. He knew that a simple response of yes or no would be useless and if he didn’t get to convince the gorgeous blond, they’d most likely spend another two hours looking for a new bed, which he definitely didn’t want to take part of. Desperate times call for desperate measures and in this situation, that definitely applied. “There’s only one way to find out.” He said then looked around, his sorrell eyes scanning the area for any sales clerk nearby. Once he was sure that the area was secure and no one would witness what he was about to do, he took a deep breath and jumped onto the bed, earning a surprise gasp from Uruha as he bounced against the soft mattress and the fluffy pillows on top of it.

“What the hell are you doing?” Uruha asked incredulously, his eyes wide in shock, looking at him as if he had just about drowned himself in ten gallons of mayonnaise and butter. Well, he would if he didn’t get to continue with his Walking Dead marathon today. He was dying to know if Daryl managed to find Sophia, damn it!

“I’m checking if the bed is comfortable.” The brunet simply replied with a smirk. The mattress was indeed comfortable and soft. It wasn’t lumpy and the sheets didn’t feel scratchy at all. He knew Uruha would definitely like it. He raised his head from one of the pillows to look at the gawking brunet. “You should try it, Uru. This bed is perfect!”

Uruha’s jaw dropped to the floor. “What is wrong with you?”

“Well, didn’t you want me to help you find the perfect bed?”

“Yes, but I didn’t ask you to act like a lunatic and do this!  Get off the freaking bed right this instant!" Uruha scolded like a mother yelling at his kid as his brown saucers alternated between glaring at him and nervously looking around, scared that someone might see what he was doing.

But Kai just laughed and continued lying on the bed as if he owned it, ignoring the furious blush that decorated the guitarist’s cheeks. He even swayed his feet from side to side and began humming.

“Kai! I said get off there right now! Stop acting like a kid!”

Sure, the brunet and so-called leader wasn't acting according to his age or position, but what he just did was fun and he enjoyed seeing the adorable/fuming expression on the blond's face.

Uruha, now desperate to get Kai off the bed, leaned over and grabbed the drummer's arm, pulling him to get up. "Get off now before a sales clerk sees you!"

Still, Kai ignored Uruha and began struggling against the guitarist instead. He grabbed the guitarist’’s sleeves and tugged him towards the bed. "Come on, Uruha! No one's around! Just lie down for a minute with me!"

"No!" The blond shot back and pulled the brunet harder. There was no way he'd let his bandmate embarrass them both in public.

"Come on, Uru! Don't be such a killjoy!"

"And don't be like a brat! You're thirty years old for christ's sake!"

"Doesn't mean we can't have fun anymore!"

"Kai, get off the freaking bed!!"

"No!”

“Fine! If you don’t want to get off it, then let my hand go! I’m leaving!

“No!” Kai quickly protested, a flash of panic crossing his face. He couldn’t let the blond leave. He wanted the guitarist to buy this bed!

“Let go or I’ll tell the our manager where you’re keeping your secret stash of mayonnaise!”

“You won’t do that!”

"Damn it, Kai! Just--aaaahhh!"

As if in slow motion, Kai watched as Uruha lost his balance and tumbled towards him, fear evident in the other man’s gorgeous features as his inevitable descent continued, his heart slowly picking up its pace and beginning a crazy, frantic beat as he realized that something was about to go wrong. Bodies aligned, foreheads bumped and two pairs of lips touched in the next second, meeting for an unexpected first kiss.

Kai’s mind reeled, surprise and a pleasant feeling swirling inside him as he felt the guitarist’s infamous plush lips on his, his brain suddenly incapable of thinking as the sensation of those plump appendages washed over him like a tidal wave. Uruha’s lips were really soft, luscious and the urge to taste more suddenly overwhelmed him. But even before he could give in to his desire, the moment was already over. Uruha quickly pulled himself up and gazed at him, the blond’s face as red as a tomato, his brown eyes glazed with mixed shock, panic and something else that Kai couldn’t determine. "I didn't mean to kiss you." Uruha blurted, his voice low and shaky.

The drummer just stared back at the male who was still on top of him, speechless and still very shocked. Sure that was an accident, an unexpected moment but...

It’s now or never.

Eliminating his hesitations and fear, he brought his hands to the guitarist’s face and pulled him down, crashing their lips together for another kiss, closing his eyes in bliss as he felt Uruha’s lips perfectly meld with his own. He felt the blond’s body stiffen against him, but as soon as he began nipping on the guitarist’s bottom lip, a pleased sigh involuntarily escaped Uruha and the other was suddenly responding, kissing him as if the other had been wanting to do that to him.

Eventually, the need for air came and when that happened, Kai found himself looking into deep auburn eyes that gleamed with tenderness and a certain sparkle of excitement. “I’ve been actually wanting to do that.” Uruha softly uttered, a sweet smile present on his full lips.

As to how they ended up from buying furniture to shamelessly having their first kiss on a piece of furniture they hadn’t even bought, Kai didn’t know, nor did he care because all that mattered now was Uruha and the fact that the beautiful person who always had a special place in his heart, also had a place for him in his. A smile slowly curved up his lips as he looked at Uruha, his eyes glinting with the same emotions that could also be seen in the blond’s eyes, thinking that the goddess of love had also gave him her blessing. Everything... everything in that one moment could’ve been perfect if it wasn’t for the annoying voice that had been clawing its way into their ears.

They both blinked, finally snapping out of their reverie and looked at the source of the irritating voice that turned out to be the voice of a blushing female sales clerk. “Excuse me, but I’m afraid I’d have to ask you two to leave.”

Kai’s face immediately burned in embarrassment and was about to climb off the bed when Uruha suddenly screamed in panic.

“Wait!” The guitarist said. “I’ll take this bed and these pillows!”
