Con Report
So I'm back from Fanime and it was great. Well most of it at least. I'll start from the beginning.
So Gabe and Rosie came and picked me up, stopped by Ralphs for some supplies and stuff and then headed out. Listened to music on rosies laptop as Gabes car won't play burned cds (got the Dresden Dolls, the new Daft Punk and the Best of Scooter). So we pretty much get there without incident, cept till we get into San Jose, because they have like 5 streets all named the same street going in all different directions. But in the end we find it and everything is cool.
And then it went to hell.
I really tried to hang with Gabe and Rosie, I really did. And I think I did pretty good, but I was a third wheel, and I felt like shit. I know tey don't mean to but everytime he touched her or kissed her or held her hand it felt like a slap in the face, a knife in the back. In the end I ended up either in the room by myself then eventually in the pool talking with random people. Then they cam to the pool and in seeing them i had to leave, and just spent the rest of the night in the room thinking how I shouldn't have gone.
But Saturday was much better. After having breakfast with Rosie and Gabe I decided I need to get away from then and would latch onto the next group that looked interesting. So I did, and it was great. Included in this group was Josh, a Yu-gi-oh World Champ. Ian, and Link cosplayer. James the Chii-aholic (chobits) Christine, a sexy glomp giving catgirl. Nikki the chain laiden cutie. As I adopted these Santa Rosa natives as my new group it was much fun. We hung out, went to the dealers room and all that good stuff. And not once was I bored or lonely or felt bad. I think that's what going to the con was about. So at the end of the day I was most happy about going.
Sunday was a bit sad as it was nearing the end of the con and friends started to leave at various points, but I guess that really happens at all cons and is a natual part of life. So we left around midnight and I got home around 1:30 am. and found Emerald in my bed, well it was nice to have someone to sleep with, it has been awhile. So now I cut and show pics of my new friends.
