Notes: This was a bit of a challenge. My dear Kate (aka mugglechump ) requested Stephen Cornfoot giving The Talk to Jonathan, his eldest son with her character, Cassandra Montgomery. While I’m sure this is not the kind of talk Cassie wanted to happen, what can I say? It’s Stephen. Both Stephen and Cassandra are played at Wench Island Pleasure Pastures of Never, Neverland. Kate, this is for you! *SMOOSH*

This was entirely his wife’s fault. If she hadn’t seduced him that one night in Cabo, when they’d left Maddy with her parents for the week and taken a second vacation, he wouldn’t be stuck in this situation. Granted, she’d seduced him nearly every night- or he’d seduced her, he was a bit hazy on the details- but this was a product of that night. He’d been rather spectacular in the hot tub, if he recalled correctly.

Anyway, Cassie. Yes. This was her fault. Her seduction, plus her family genetics, put him in this predicament. It wasn’t to say that he didn’t love all his children because that was ridiculous. He loved all of them: Madeline, who would always and forever be Daddy's little girl. Annaleigh and Jonathan, his mischievous little princess and her succinct twin, and Joshua, named for Cassie's little brother.

Granted, he’d always wanted a son. What man didn’t? It was his chance to do right, to be a proper father to a son unlike the parenting methods employed by his own father. But this? This was something he’d been dreading since his lovely wife had suggested it that morning.

A knock on the door sounded, signaling his impending doom. “Come in,” he called, removing his glasses and rubbing at his temples. Merlin, he was getting old.

Jonathan poked his head in the door. “Mum said you wanted to talk?”

Wanted to? No. Had been instructed to? Yes. “Yeah, sit down,” he said, nodding at the chair opposite his desk. “We need to have a little chat.”

The tall, scrawny blonde ambled in and sprawled across the chair, draping his long legs over onto the matching leather chair next to him. “What’s up?”

“The sky,” Stephen replied dryly. He steepled his fingers and fixed his eldest son with a look. How the bloody hell was he supposed to tell his son to abstain from sex? It wasn’t like he’d been a chaste little angel when he’d been that age. “Jonathan, you’re at a certain age when you’re noticing…girls, and they’re noticing you…”

His son groaned and held his hand up. “Dad, is this the sex talk?”

Stephen blinked. “It was going to be.”

Jonathan snickered. “I already know about that stuff, Dad. S’okay.”

“I don’t want to know if that’s first or secondhand, so keep that to yourself,” his father replied, breathing a visible sigh of relief. He reached down to a bottom drawer of his desk and pulled out a glossy magazine. Lips twitching in a small smirk, he tossed it across the desk to his offspring.

The younger man raised an eyebrow when he saw the scantily clad Quidditch player making suggestive poses on the front cover of the Playwizard his father had thrown him. “Porn, Dad?”

“That’s for getting me out of the talk,” Stephen replied smugly, leaning back in his chair. “If your mother asked, we had a deep and meaningful conversation.”

“Right.” His son snickered and got up from his seat. “Thanks Dad.”

“Anytime.” He waited until his son was almost at the door, then said, “And Jon?”

“Yeah?”

“You get a girl pregnant and I’ll kill you. Remember that.”

One delicate blonde brow rose before Jonathan’s lips curled up in a smirk. “Sure thing, Dad.”

“Just so we’re on the same page. Now get out.” After his son had exited the room, Stephen groaned and rubbed his temples again. Now to explain to Cassie about Reilly’s coming of age gift for Jonathan…
