What does this say about our society?
I just got a check in the mail for $.02. Yes, two whole cents. It was apparently interest on escrow from the mortgage broker who held the note on our house for all of like 3 weeks before they sold it to the company that actually holds the mortgage now. They paid $.41 for postage, plus the envelope and the cost of printing the check, all to send us two. Whole. Cents.
