Holy shit, the new Immortal rules!!!
This is totally unexpected to me. Best they've done since At the Heart of Winter, at the very least, although it's still not Pure Holocaust.
This blows away new Satyricon. By far.
New Gorgoroth is pretty good, too! Lacking something (intensity, rawness)... but it's great to hear songs written by Infernus again. And Pest on vocals! Rad.
Even the new Marduk is cool!
And I keep forgetting that new Funeral Mist earlier this year was wicked itself.
Is Black Metal actually redeeming itself this year? Just when I had nearly given up hope completely?
It just might be so...
Are there any killer albums I missed? Anything more obscure I may have glossed over in my growing apathy?
