Thunder?!?!?!? Woo! ...Of course, its timing could be better. I prefer my thunder and lightning to not be at 2:50 AM.
See, this is one of the fun aspects of living in SoCal. Last week, it was cold. Damn cold. (Which qualifies as just regular "cold" in most of the rest of the country.) Then, Monday was spectacular: perfect temperature, clear skies, a classic Southern California day. Yesterday was great, too (or so I heard; I was working from 4 AM to noon, and then slept until 5 PM). And today, the day hasn't even properly started yet, and we've already had a "Severe Thunderstorm Warning" for the area, which includes warnings for "dime sized hail and wind gusts to 60 mph" as well. But the whole warning ends at 3:30 AM. Oh, and we've had a couple quick downpours in the last half-hour.
I've said it before: everything about SoCal is weird, even (perhaps epecially) the weather.
