It's a good thing people don't actually think about what he says...

Okay, this is a post about the whole Bush Administration spying on Americans scandal, current volume. Abuse of power, illegal and unconstitutional, blah blah blah.

But what I want to point out is one thing that no one (in the mainstream media, at least) has caught on to.

The NSA got the phone records of 200 Million Americans. 200 Million. That's a damn big number. And how did Bush defend this? "Our efforts are focused on links to al-Qaeda and their known affiliates."

So: there are 200 MILLION al-Quaeda members and affiliates in this country? See, THAT connotation of his comment right there is worrying.

We'll set aside the obvious connotation for the moment, the "you're with us or you're with the terrorists" connotation that anyone against Bush is in league with terrorists. Because if that number is accurate and not "politically inflated", then damn, we're screwed. Hello President Bush, you just said that there's a 200 million man army sitting within our homeland who hate us!
