The sex last night with Xander was great. Except, when the part when he fell asleep afterward. You think a man would have more stamina than that. When we first started dating, we had intercourse all night. I haven't had sex with him in ages. I thought he would be ready to go all night. Anyway, I let him sleep.
This morning, I woke up to Xander talking to himself, in his sleep. I shook him awake. We got dressed and we talked about what we were going to do about Giles and Dawn. I could tell Xander was having second thoughts about this whole deal. I was hoping he would change his mind. But, stubborn Xander wasn't backing out of anything. I even told him, we could be responsible for taking them out of heaven, like Willow did to Buffy, and that did nothing.
"That's really the question, isn't it, Ahn? I mean, I think that especially Dawn would want to come back, and probably Giles. I have been thinking about this a little today, and with Buffy, it was different. She was sent to a beautiful place after spending five or six years fighting evil every night. Sure, we have all fought evil with her and Giles is a part of that group, but it's not our duty like it was Buffy's. I think, honestly, that they would want to come back..."
I'm thinking Giles would want us to let him rest in peace. Giles was smart. He wouldn't want Xander dabbling in the dark magics to bring him back from the dead. He would know the consequences. Dawn? Well, I don't know what she would want. She was a just a little thief, that probably wanted to come back from the dead to steal, again.
"Ahn, I'm not as worried about the consequences concerning the Dawnster or the G-man. We are going to your boss to get help with this. What might he do to you for doing an act of heroism?"
I rolled my eyes. God, I wanted to slap him. I could put a stop to this, you know? Tell him no, and this plan would be all over. He wouldn't be able to do this without me. I thought about this. Fought with this in my head. I was not going to do this. Xander looked at me. I looked at him. Ready to tell him no. There was a long pause. "Fine," I gritted between my teeth, with a heavy sigh. It sounded good when I said it in my head.
I stormed out of the room and headed downstairs toward the basement. Xander followed behind me. I stood in front of the deep freezer. Looking at it, knowing what was behind it. Then, I opened it. Xander went in and turned toward me. I looked at him and shrugged. He was ready to go. There was one problem. I could transport me and Xander to D'Hoffryn, but I wouldn't be able to take Giles and Dawn with us. "Uh, Xander? There's a problem. We can't take Giles and Dawn with us. They're dead. I can only transport living beings." His face turned into a frown. "Oh, but wait. Riley's car is out front." We looked at each other and ran upstairs and outside.
We came back in with no where to go. "Who leaves their car unlocked with no keys in it? It doesn't make any sense to me." Xander walked to the middle of the lobby and I walked up to him. "Well, here it goes. D'Hoffryn!" D'Hoffryn appeared in front of us.
He smiled and looked around. "Ah, the house of Angelus. What a waste of a vampire." He looked at me. "Why have you summoned me Anyanka?"
"Uh, well I have an itty bitty favor to ask of you. I need you to bring back two people from the dead." D'Hoffryn looked at me and laughed. I knew this wasn't going to sit well with D'Hoffryn. I'm supposed to be evil, not saving people. I already knew where all of this was going.
