Kaile feels the air being slammed from her lungs as her back hits the wall. Before she can even try to catch her breath, Lindsay’s mouth is on hers and breathing suddenly doesn’t seem very important. She can taste whisky on Lindsay’s tongue and it reminds her, in the middle of trying to figure out the fastest way to get Lindsay’s clothes off, that this really isn’t a good idea. This isn’t the start of something good or just a fuck between friends. It’s about Aiden and Aiden being gone, dead and burned and buried, and Lindsay trying to forget.
But she kisses Lindsay back and tastes whisky and grief and she wishes that Lindsay’s kisses weren’t so damn addictive because they shouldn’t be doing this. Kaile’s a little tipsy, Lindsay’s more than half drunk and they really shouldn’t be doing this. Lindsay’s breathing is ragged, almost sobbing, and Kaile tries to speak, to say something, anything. But Lindsay has her hand between Kaile’s thighs and Kaile feels herself arching into Lindsay’s touch, hands clutching Lindsay’s hips, and this is a bad idea, a very bad idea, but maybe she can help Lindsay to forget, just for a little while -
