i am laying here. i'm watching vh1's sex: the revolution. it's possible that i have seen it before. regardless, it's fascinating and depressing.
aids has just been introduced to society. it's tragic.
i first overheard about hiv/aids in the mid 1980's. i was in the back seat of my cousin's car. i believe we were parked in a random lot. i believe my mother and cousin believed my brother and i to be asleep.
i overheard my cousin tell my mother of her friend that contracted a disease. the fear in her voice what unmistakable. it were as if her friend were already deceased. i was fear stricken, in that back seat. i'll never forget that moment. when i think of it, it's like i am there again. worried.
