House!
We've been living in our house for close to a month now, and it feels like we've gotten very far, yet have so much left to do. Hopefully by the end of the weekend our bathroom will be completely finished, thanks mostly to Derek's father. We have a new tub, toilet, walls (had to get rid of the pink-and-black tiling, eew), and chaged the layout a bit to cut off a section of the bathroom to turn it into a pantry . It opens on the other side, towards the kitchen. We did not install a pantry inside the bathroom ;P
After we sand and paint the walls, we'll do the ceramic flooring and install the sink. Then onto the kitchen, where we're shifting a couple things around to install a gas line for the free-standing range. The kitchen floor comes after that, then the refinishing of the hardwood in the living room and bedrooms. Next spring: the upstairs!
It's a lot, but it's fun when you get to see the progress. Derek wanted to take before and after pictures, but could never find batteries for his camera before we changed everything. Ah well.
I interviewed for a 'theft examiner' position at work on Wednesday and should find out whether or not I got it within the week. Wish me luck :D
