Today, I put together a desk. It was fun. Why didn't anyone tell me how cool power drills are? I wasted my formative years on books and computers when I could have been playing with tools instead. Putting together a desk, while not particularly sexy, is almost as mesmerizing as a computer game. It is like a game, really. The last time I put something together was in fifth grade, when Mr. Lepic made us build model cars, and I still haven't forgotten about that.
Would someone like to adopt me as their son and teach me son things? They're a lot more fun than daughter things. At the very least, think of a girl the next time you're in the hardware department. She might appreciate that wrench or screwdriver more than you think.
