You do realize that most Republicans have jack shit in common with real cowboys, right? Especially Bush, no matter how much he pretends he's one. Cowboys weren't conservative, they weren't rich, and I doubt they were born-again Christians. They also probably didn't care too much about "traditional" or "family" values either.
I think that is a fitting lead to my Public Service Announcement. Bush is not a straight-talking cowboy from Texas. Bush is a rich New England boy who grew up on his daddy's estate. Stop giving cowboys and Texas a bad name.
Once, I saw two cowboys from Illinois riding around on their horses, herding cattle. I don't think they liked cars very much, let alone fighter jets or nuclear warheads.
Another time, I saw a cowboy in Wyoming. He was also herding cattle and he had dirt on his clothes. I don't think he spent much time plotting the demise of modern civilization.
My parents went to Texas once and said it had very good barbeque.
Therefore, it saddens me when people all over the world say bad things about cowboys and Texas when they should really be saying bad things about things that are bad: George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld. Hate George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, not horses and barbeque.
