I remember

(since I communicate my feelings better with words and for my own grieving/therapy process)

I have never cried this much, though I have never lost someone close to me, let alone 5 people I saw on a semi-regular basis, and to have so many friends who have lost as well. I cry for the people, their families, friends, and the violent nature that their wonderful lives were taken.

This is what I will remember about those who passed on 4/16/07...

Dr. G.V. Loganathan:
-Measurements Professor
-He liked to wear sweater vests
-He was a small quiet man
-He was super smart
-He cared about his students
-Davidson 3

Brian Bluhm:
-Measurements TA Spring 2006 and co-worker at EngE1024 for 3 semesters
-He always had a smile and was always happy to see me (and me him)
-He made a 2.5 hour measurement lab on a friday afternoon bearable
-He liked baseball and softball and the Detroit Tigers
-He was balding but took it well
-His laugh was goofy
-He wanted us to learn and do well
-He cared about those around him
-Duckpond, lab lockers, Patton 316, Patton 12
-I regret not talking to him more often and about things other than school
-He was my favorite grad student

Jeremy Herbstritt:
-Fluids lab TA, Fall 2006
-He always seemed excited to teach us, even though we were his guinea pigs
-He was eager to help us
-He didn't like to wear jackets
-He was a runner
-He lived in Foxridge and sometime I'd see him on the bus or on the path between Foxridge and campus
-Patton 12 and 11

Dan O'Neil:
-Water Resources TA, this semester (Spring 2007)
-He was always helpful
-He always wore a pinky ring
-He was chill in class
-Patton 12 and 11

Matt Gwaltney:
-Co-worker in EngE1024 and CEE TA (not mine)
-He always had a smile on his face
-He often joked around with his students and others
-He always seemed happy and light hearted
-Randolph 3, Patton 316

These were all awesome people who did not deserve to die like this. But I am comforted to learn that I will see some of them again in heaven.
