I love the first fragment. I don't think you'll be able to keep it up for long - imho, even Doyle couldn't, and 'Blanched Soldier' is definitely one of his weaker efforts - but thanks for posting the fragment.
The second looks good, too. Heading for Chandler territory? Great if you can pull it off.
Chandler ... never thought of that ... no, I wasn't trying for any particular style on that one.
The Holmes crossover - I like to think I'm fairly good at channeling Conan Doyle - ROFL - and usually am fairly satisfied at how the end result reads. We'll have to see. I'm about halfway done with that. The Post Amnesty one is going to be much longer - I might have to break it down and post one part at a time
