RPG notes
As I said, I'm thinking of joining an RPG ... playing Fred/George of course (either twin or both together if possible as I think they are conjoined enough to be played by one Evil Trickster with Multiple Personalities)!
Fred and George are cosmic otters. They never take anything seriously for very long, even personal tragedy. I can see them grieving if something tragic occurs, but I feel their high spirits would soon take over and restore them to their usual prankish humour. Their sole mission in life is to enjoy. I feel they ride out unhappiness and bounce back like the fun-loving redheaded weasels otters they are!
So long as they are together, that is. I think the one way you could hurt the twins would be to separate them, either by imprisonment or by death of one twin. That, I feel, would cause irreparable damage to the surviving (or free) twin, leaving a numb husk of a man who'd just shuffle through the rest of his life wondering why half his soul was missing. I'm hoping the RPG is not planning anything that drastic, as it would be too depressing to think of, not to mention to write!
The two would be an asset to the Order, as their love of intrigue would draw them into the spy game like moths to flame. They'd be experts at disguise, even without polyjuice potions, and would be able to sneak nearly anywhere without being found out. I'd like to explore that facet of their futures, and maybe even have some interaction with Snape The Spy, who could learn (to his horror) that Fred/George are actually capable of a pretense of intense serious-ness when necessary! Poor Snape.
Their inherent problems are their irreverence (I can see them giving Voldemort a smartarse comment if captured) and a tendency to try things to see if they're fun. Fred/George are more careful and more mature then they appear, due to their high spirits and tendency to joke, but they could end up in hot water if they try to joke at the wrong moment or if they decide the wrong activity might provide a few laughs.
I'd like to see the twins played either by one person, or by two people who think so much alike that they could be twins! BC and I could do it, but he doesn't have a livejournal ....
